CLARISSA aims to build a strong evidence base and generate innovative solutions to the worst forms of child labour (WFCL) and will explore how to take these solutions to scale. In this sense, it is neither a typical research programme nor a typical NGO implementation programme – but is designed to build on the strengths of all programme partners to work towards the desired end impact of a decrease in the number of children in the WFCL in Bangladesh, Myanmar and Nepal.
In each country, activities will be implemented at two levels:
- Evidence generation, innovative intervention design, implementation and testing in collaboration with local partners with specific focal areas in each of the three countries
- Engagement and advocacy activities with specific stakeholders in each country through contextualised engagement plans.
